Care instructions

When situated outdoors, the colour of the Pinecone Planter will change quickly. The loose powder finish on the surface of the planter will wash off if it comes in contact with generous amounts of water–this includes being exposed in the rain. The exterior of the planter will then exhibit a dark grey finish, and remain this way.

Unfortunately, we can not recommend any products that will set the loose powder and keep it permanent. Our best advice–if keeping the powdered finish is desired–is to install the planter indoors, or in an undercover area in which water cannot reach.

If you wish to set the planter outdoors, we highly encourage customers to coat the piece with Liquid Penetrol, a solution which will prevent rusting. Liquid Penterol should be applied generously with a paintbrush onto the entire surface area of the planter. Please ensure the surface is clean, and all loose powder has been removed. It is encouraged to repeat this process whenever rust begins to appear, or at least every 12 months. This product is available at Bunnings Warehouse and other local hardware stores.

If you are located outside of these areas, be sure to contact us to receive a delivery quote and arrangement.

Please note that on the day of delivery, your order will be delivered to your driveway or garage ONLY. Our delivery service consists of transportation and drop off, we do not offer installation.
